Guru Smt. Sreedevi Yadlapati is a distinguished Kuchipudi dance teacher, mentor, and artist who began her journey at age six under Guru Bhagavathula Venkat Rama Sharma in Vijayawada, India. By 11, she performed her Rangapravesam and danced for spiritual leaders like Swami Chinmayananda Saraswati and Swami Sri Satya Sai Baba. Trained by legendary Gurus Padmabhushan Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam and Guru Kalaratna Smt. A.B. Bala Kondal Rao, she earned diplomas in Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam by 19. Despite double knee surgery at 21, Smt. Sreedevi returned to the stage, completed her Master’s in Kuchipudi, and founded Sai Nritya Academy in 2000 in the DFW metroplex to preserve India’s classical dance traditions. Today, she continues to inspire and support cultural and youth organizations across North America and beyond.

Siya Mehrotra, a sophomore at Heritage High School, began her Kuchipudi journey at the age of 6 under the guidance of Guru Smt. Sreedevi Yadlapati of Sai Nritya Academy (SNA). Over the years, Siya has performed in numerous group and solo performances through the opportunities provided by SNA. Because of her passion for dance, Siya volunteers at her dance school under the guidance of her Guru to inspire the next generation of dancers. Outside of dance, Siya volunteers with the City of Frisco, the City of McKinney. She is also involved in activities like Blood Drives and HOSA – Future Health Professionals. In her personal time, Siya maintains a passion for music and plays the piano and guitar. Siya is excited to continue her dance journey with her Rangapravesam along with the support and blessings from her Guru, family and friends.
